Through the year, around 20 races count towards the club championship. Your best six count, and you compete in divisions against members of a similar pace.
Scoring
- Points depend on where you finish relative to other club members in each championship race.
- Your score is the total of up to six races in the season.
- You score as soon as you’ve done one race — you don’t need six to appear.
- Do fewer than six and they all count; do more and your best six count.
The summer league races all count, so they’re a good way to build up points.
Which races count?
The list of championship races is on the clubhouse notice board, in the weekly notices, and on the myclubhouse race calendar.
Leagues and divisions
- There are separate men’s and women’s leagues, each usually with four divisions.
- New members are placed in a division using a recent 5 mile club time trial or 10K time. You can score in other races before you’ve posted one.
- Awards usually go to first and second in each division, at the annual awards night.
