Summer Road Race League
The Midweek Road Race League — local 10K-ish road races on weekday evenings in May, June and July. Run as many as you like.
The Midweek Road Race League (MWRRL) is a series of local road races of about 10K, held on weekday evenings in May, June and July between Hertfordshire running clubs. Most start at 7:45pm.
It’s for every member, not just the fast ones — if you can run 10K, come along.
- Four league races, then a final run, the Mob Match, where prizes are presented.
- Run one race or all of them. There’s no team selection — everyone’s encouraged.
- Just turn up on the night in club colours or a BSRC t-shirt.
- Ask for a race number before or at your first race, and keep it for the whole series.
Why run them?
They’re good-quality, local, not too big, and don’t take up your weekend. All five races also count towards the club championship — nearly a full set of scores on their own.
Championship points: the first club runner home scores 50, the next 49, and so on, separately for men and women.
Getting there
Travel details go out in the weekly club notices and on Facebook. Car sharing is encouraged — arrange it in the Facebook group.
Results from every race are on the MWRRL website, with news on the MWRRL Facebook page.
